Life is Good

  • Life is good.
  • I guess I’m in a good space now.
  • Grandchildren can do that I’m told.
  • I’m a believer in that theory.

8:00 am
I am happier now, don’t feel so depressed, and I chalk it up to not working.  Being retired to be more specific.  Shortly we’ll be leaving the family and  back on the road to home again, heading out in the pouring rain to traverse our small corner of the province. We have multiple stops to make prior to exiting town, first at the gardening store (as mentioned in my previous post “Fishing, for Flowers”) and Costco. The tiptoeing through the tulips can go either way.

12:30 pm
With the help of my trusty sidekick and partner we perused the ample and mind numbing beauty of the Greenhouse Garden.  We came away relatively unscathed, with a small bill of $167 for a small trolley (double decker) of perennials and a corner stand for flowers or plants.  I’m ok with the hit, we’ll see if my pension cheque will cover it.

All in all it was a delightful experience.  Now don’t I sound all “gushy” using words like delightful, almost “soft” or somehow UN-masculine.  Anyway I liked it, we had fun and it was a nice time together.

2:30 pm
Costco was conquered as well although the bill was no less, but not significantly more. What can you say, some things had to be got. Back on the road home.

5:00 pm
I’m still in a pretty good space after finally getting back home, unloading, unpacking, and putting the many things away. I set up the plant stand and tended to the plants on the deck. Most came away unscathed save for a near drowning from the torrential rains we had while we were absent.

All in all a good trip.

Life is Good…..but I miss my ‘lil buddy already.
